Junior Cardio Alex Award – JCA                 المسابقة العلمية للمؤتمر (القسطرة التداخلية – كهروفسيولوجيا القلب)

We offer physicians (cardiologists, interventionalists, cardiac critical care specialists and Endovascular surgeons) the opportunity to demonstrate their experience and the experience of their centers by presenting clinical cases.

Criteria of candidates presenting:

1. Staff or fellow in a university, military, private and governmental institutes.
2. Age less than 40 years in end of June 2010.
3. Payment of full registration fees (50% of Cardio Alex 2010 registration fees) upon submission of the case.
4. Registration fees for case / abstract presenters are 50% of the regular CARDIO ALEX registration fees.
5. The case should be done by the presenter himself .

Participants who wish to submit clinical cases should follow the guidelines:

• Introduction of the case
• Description of the problem
• Procedure and technique used
• Take home message.

Presentation format:

• PowerPoint, with single pictures and animations (mpeg, jpeg, avi).
• NO PHYSICAL SLIDES ARE ALLOWED, ONLY COMPUTER PRESENTATIONS WILL BE ALLOWED.
• Time of each presentation: 10 min (5 min. presentation & 5 min discussion) Please respect the requested size.

The Jury Committee will grade the presentations from 1 to 18 (Eighteen=best) according to the following criteria:

• Teaching and educational value.
• Presentation quality.
• Originality of the case.
• Clinical message.

General Information:

1. Day, date &time of presentation will be sent to the presenter after acceptance.
2. Only one case may be submitted per person or five cases per center.
3. Participants will be advised by e-mail or by fax of the Committee decision max.
4. The best 18 cases will be presented (in each session 6 cases)
5. When accepted, cases will be presented orally (10 min.:5 minutes presentation, 5 minutes discussion) in a dedicated     room and jury members will select the 3 best cases at the end of the 3 sessions.
6. The 3 first awarded cases will be presented in the meeting highlight session on Friday 11-6-2010
